The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources has completed the Big Game Licence Draw for the 2019-20 hunting season. Applicants can view the results online by logging into the Wildlife Information Management System at www.wildlife.gov.nl.ca/ Applicants will also be notified by mail in the coming days.

CORRECTION- Officially Nominated Candidates for the 2019 Provincial General Election

Elections NL issued its list of officially nominated candidates earlier this afternoon. However, one candidate was erroneously left off the list: Carol Reade, New Democratic Party, Mount Pearl North. The candidate's nomination papers were received on time and in good order.

Child and Youth Advocate Releases Investigative Report "Seen But Not Heard"

Child and Youth Advocate Jackie Lake Kavanagh has released a new investigative report Seen But Not Heard. This investigation involved children subjected to years of abuse within their family and in a subsequent alternate care arrangement while they were receiving protection services from the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development.
